How Is This Estimate Calculated?

This tool estimates what your project might cost based on the scope you select above. The ranges come from real jobs we’ve completed across Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks counties, so they reflect actual local pricing. It’s a planning estimate, not a final quote. Your exact price comes after we see the space in person.

What Affects Your Remodel Price?

A few things move the number more than anything else. Here’s what the estimator accounts for, and what we look at when we visit the space.

Project Size

Bigger projects cost more overall, but often less per square foot. A small bathroom packs the same plumbing, tile, and fixture work into less space, so the cost per foot runs higher than you’d expect. Size sets the baseline the rest of the factors build on.

Finish Level

Usually the biggest swing. The same footprint lands in very different places depending on stock versus custom cabinets, laminate versus quartz, or builder-grade versus designer fixtures. Higher-end selections raise the number without changing the size of the job.

Existing Conditions

Older homes in the area sometimes hide outdated wiring, aging plumbing, or foundation quirks behind the walls. Common and fixable, but it adds to the scope once we uncover it, which is why an in-person look matters.

Plumbing and Electrical Changes

Working with what’s already there is cheaper than moving it. Adding a bathroom to a basement, relocating a sink, or running a new circuit for a deck all cost more than building around existing connections.

Layout Changes

Keeping the existing layout keeps costs down. Moving walls, opening up a floor plan, or reconfiguring a space adds labor and often structural or mechanical work behind the scenes.

Permits and Inspections

Most projects need them, and fees and timelines vary from one township to the next. We pull the permits and coordinate inspections on every job, so that piece is handled either way.

Site Access and Conditions

How easy the space is to work in matters. A walkout basement is simpler than one reached by a narrow interior stair, and a flat yard is cheaper to build on than a sloped one that needs grading or retaining work.
